While road trips do have expenses, we look for budget-friendly options and list the costs for each recommendation.
Most of our destinations have multiple historic sites, museums, and other educational attractions.
Visiting small towns and interacting with locals provides a unique cultural experience that is often different from attractions found on top ten lists.

Your field trip package includes an essential Before You Go guide, as well as a series of envelopes, each leading you to a delightful surprise destination on your road trip.

Each envelope contains everything you need to know on how to get to the surprise destinations, complete with unique suggestions, handy maps, insider tips, and captivating facts that will make your explorations fun and informative.
But don’t open them till you are ready to go; why spoil the surprise?
On the big day, you set out on your adventure by simply opening that first envelope and hit the road to your first surprise destination. Along the way, we’ve thrown in some ‘roadside recommendations’ to break up the driving time and make your journey even more enjoyable. We can hardly contain our excitement, and we can’t wait for you to immerse yourself in the wonder of our thoughtfully curated trips!

No, Light Field Trips is not a travel agency, trips search engine, or travel booking site. Instead, we curate itineraries to special places and send you a package that has all the details of you need for an exciting adventure to your mystery field trip.

How Long Do Trips Last?
Our trips are designed to fit in to your average day. Roughly they will take 6-8 hours, but you really determine the pace.
